Putin offers business amnesty in cases of currency laws violations
ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 16 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday suggested an amnesty for businesspeople for forced currency laws violations in the period that Russia imposed a moratorium on the fines.
"I'll say frankly, we do not apply this approach frequently, but now, when there is a habitual violation of obligations by the Western counteragents, I think that helping business in this important matter is important,” Putin said.
“I suggest declaring amnesty to business over forced foreign currency violations committed during the moratorium period."
Putin also ordered the government to prolong moratorium on fines for 2024.
